When I began in the health & wellness industry some 5 years ago I was marketing nutritional supplement products, as an affiliate marketer, for some of the better companies in the marketplace such as Aubrey Organics, Progressive Health and Trusted Health, to name a few.
A part of my job, in my opinion, was and is, to do my due diligence for each and every product that I was going to introduce to my clients and customers to determine its quality, safety (in terms of formulation and ingredients) and effectiveness. Now many of my peers thought I was crazy. They saw it as a waste of time learning about the products I was marketing. But I needed to know. I had made a decision going into this business that I would NEVER market a product that I would not take myself!
As I began to learn about the nutritional products on the market, what was in them and subsequently what people were putting into their bodies I was shocked in many ways and I wanted to share that information with people. Not so much to promote my products rather to give them the information that they needed to make informed decisions with regard to their health care options.
I was out of that desire and the knowledge I had accumulated over the years that Health Products Guru was born back in June of 2009. And many my peers still believe I am doing it wrong. They still believe that I should be simply selling product and not focus so much on the safety and the welfare of the people consuming them, my customers.
Well my friends I simply cant do business that way. If I make less money in the process so be it! I live my life by a set of standards that I refuse to compromise and have built the foundation of my business on those very same standards. I will not settle for second best and believe that you shouldn’t either. We deserve the best and so do our families and friends. Don’t You Agree?
